Politic: Saudi Arabia To Build Refinery In Nigeria

Saudi Arabia has hinted on the possibility of establishing a refinery in Nigeria.
Minister of Energy Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Khalid Al Falih dropped the hint during a meeting with Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu in Riyadh.

Kachikwu who affirmed the Saudi oil minister’s position said Nigeria was looking towards Saudi Arabia because of the country’s successes in the sector.
“We want to leverage on the huge success of Saudi government in terms of petroleum. Last year alone Saudi Aramco, an equivalent of NNPC made about $200 billion as profit.

“We have a lot of common ground, historical ties, and religious ties and there’s a need to move further. We cooperate a lot with one another in OPEC especially in the Ministry of Energy,” Kachikwu said.
He said Nigeria is already setting up a team to make the reasons for the visit a reality.
A statement from Nigeria’s oil ministry, Kachikwu had on Tuesday met with top executives of Saudi Aramco in Dhahran to crystallize ongoing discussions on collaborating with the Federal Government of Nigeria on investments in the oil and gas sector.
The minister was received by the President and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi Aramco, Amin H. Nasser and the top management of the conglomerate.

Job: 26 Million Job Seekers Applied For NNPC Jobs As Recruitment Portal Closes

Nigeria’s unemployment crises again came to the fore early this week as a total of 25. 6 million applications passed through the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) recruitment portal before it formally closed Tuesday.

A source familiar with the recruitment process told Daily Sun that the 25.6 million applications was mind boggling to both NNPC management and the Federal Government as it further painted the picture of the magnitude of the country’s unemployment challenge.

This was coming as data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) show Nigeria’s unemployment crisis worsened in the third quarter of 2018 (Q3,2018), as it rose from 18.8 per cent in Q3 2017 to 23.1 per cent in the third quarter of 2018, according to labour report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

The NBS data revealed further that the total number of people classified as unemployed-which means they did nothing at all or worked for a few hours (under 20 hours a week) rose from 17.6 million in Q4 2017 to 20.9 million in Q3 2018.

On March 13, 2018, NNPC began massive recruitment drive to fill various positions at the graduate trainees senior officers, supervisory and managerial cadres with the opening of its recruitment portal.

Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of NNPC, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu, had said the move was part of efforts to enhance productivity.

Commenting, Head of Tax and Corporate Advisory Services at PwC Nigeria, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, said the combination of unemployment and underemployment figures in the region of about 40 per cent was responsible for the upsurge in applications, adding that some of the applicants are already employed but are seeking better opportunities.

He maintained that until government begins to take practical steps to grow the Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), the over 40 million unemployed youth figure will continue to ballon.

He said there are over 30 million MSMEs in Nigeria lacking the right monetary policies to access finance and vocational training which may enable them expand and employ the over 30 million job seekers in the category.

He said NNPC may not employ up to one per cent of the application received which he said may be about 1,000 people or less, stressing that the remaining number returns to the labour market.

‘‘We hope that NNPC deploys merit because in the absence of that, you see all manner of list coming from politicians and the big men in Nigeria to take up the slots and at the end of the day, the purpose would be defeated,’’ he said.

For his part, Managing Director Cowry Assets Limited, Mr. Johnson Chukwu, said the figure should not surprise Nigerians because the public sector has not carried out a major recruitment exercise in the last four years, hence the pressure on NNPC. Chukwu said a rise in the country’s unemployment figure from 18.8 percent in 2017 to 23.1 in 2018, translating to about 80 million unemployed youths could have been responsible for the NNPC application figure.

He said to reduce the unemployment figure, Nigeria needs to grow the economy at about 10 percent, by coming up with specific industrial policy which will aid growth

3 Online Business That Can Supplement Your Monthly Salary

With increased inflation and decrease in purchasing power of Naira, most Nigerians are left with no other option than to search for online businesses that can supplement their monthly salary. this is so because, many Nigerians have access to internet in their offices or homes that they intend to monetize.

Some businesses require you to do very little work but make a decent income, and others require more work but reap a greater return in the long run. There are many top internet businesses out there that you can start, so you ought to make your decision only after some careful thought. In this article, I will give you insights on some internet businesses that can supplement your monthly salary.

Here are, in my view, 3 of the top internet businesses you can begin:

Business #1: Selling Of Digital Information Products
Selling information products online has become the hot trend in the last couple of years. Many people have caught on to the ease and benefits of selling their own information products on the Internet. These products are generally digital in nature, such as e-books, video courses, podcasts and a combination of two or three of those types. They are easy and low-cost to produce, but produce amazing profit returns. Moreover, you can sell them over and over again without producing new copies and there are no shipping hassles to deal with.

Business #2: Selling Of Physical Products Online
Selling physical products used to be more popular before the rise of information products online. It still is very profitable to sell physical products though, as these products can be more well-known to the public. Because they tend to be more mainstream, it is easier to sell these products without much pre-selling. Selling your own products on classified ads sites like OLX or dealdey or using your social media accounts like instagram or facebook is a very profitable venture.

I personally buy products from China, list them on OLX and create facebook ads campaign to sell them within Abuja. in most cases, I have spent only N5000 to make profits of N50000 using this strategy

Another set of online earners that are sprouting up are the instagram millionaires. These are young Nigerians that sell or render services on these platform to make ends meet. I have a very close friend that renders printing services, has less than 5000 instagram followers and makes upward of 2million Naira monthly rendering different printing services to these his followers.

If you take another example, "Jaruma" sells female sexual products using Instagram and have sold into hundreds of millions and have traveled to different countries of the world. I love and cherish her marketing strategies so much. all thanks to her instagram page. we have such opportunities all around us, its a matter of utilizing them

Business #3: Affiliate Marketing
By far, the easiest internet business to start online is affiliate marketing. In a nutshell, you promote someone else's product for a commission. Whenever you make sales or refer a lead, you get paid, depending on the structure of the affiliate program. With this business model, you don't need to spend enormous amounts of time creating a product, writing sales copy or providing customer service. You just need to promote your affiliate link.

Out of all the online businesses I have done, this model have made me the most money, I have a couple of videos on the source of this article where I show how profitable it is to be an affiliate marketer.

Which Internet business would I recommend for a newbie? Well, I would recommend affiliate marketing as it requires the least investment and it has the shortest learning curve. It is where many successful online business owners (including myself) cut their teeth.

6 Fast Ways To Identify A Scam Interview Invitation

I have seen such a large number of people grumbling and deploring their difficulty in the hands of phony scam organizations who welcome people for interview just to acquaint them with counterfeit medication showcasing business.

I'm doing this not just in light of the fact that these organizations squander people's chance, vitality and T-reasonable going to such interviews, yet additionally in light of the fact that the greater part of these scammers blackmail cash from hapless job searchers subsequently making their torment times two.

Envision a scammer blackmailing #10,500 from a graduate who have been jobless for quite a long time, not to discussion of the vehicle toll squandered going to such vain interviews or job talk as they generally call it.

A few people even get cash to pay these sheep in posers, them paradise on earth. Some will reveal to you that you will make a large portion of a million inside 1 month what not. In case you're not watchful, you will take a credit that you won't have the capacity to reimburse along these lines causing humiliation and absence of rest of brain. A jobless individual ought to have just himself to stress over, not having obligations too.

So I trust that in the event that we are legitimately guided, we won't fall under the control of these scammers.

Having said that, there are courses by which one can recognize a phony or scam interview welcome and there fore maintain a strategic distance from such exercise in futility and cash. The good thing is that the vast majority of their messages come in a similar configuration, so you will know its phony!

1. The message does not manage an organization name: the majority of these scammers wo exclude their names on the message you will get. All you will see are the address, the time and date and a telephone number. An authentic organization won't conceal its personality from a potential representative.

2. The message will state "interview/job preparation": whatever job instructions implies I don't have a clue!

3. You will see a code or reference: something like "HR=0056" or "REF=002". This means that the code number of the individual who welcomed you to the "job preparation".

4. It will contain a telephone number: this is the quantity of your referrer. Most veritable organizations don't give telephone numbers.

5. You will see HR Admin in the message rather than organization name

6. In the event that you call their number, they will be hesitant to give data on the organization.

Also, if you don't mind disregard those people sharing job flyers in the city, and those ones they glue on dividers. Those are scammers and a few ritualists as well. And furthermore a large portion of these alleged offices are roads for hoodwinking clueless job searchers. If it's not too much trouble sparkle your eyes well.

I will post the names of some of these phony organizations/offices later.

It would be ideal if you on the off chance that you have any encounters in the hands of these scammers generously share it here with the goal that others can learn and maintain a strategic distance from them as well. Much obliged to you!

Cheers!
