What Buhari Should Do To Treasury Looters - Oshiomole

The former governor of Edo, Mr Adams Oshiomhole, has approached President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government, to adopt a "savage" measure against claimed looters of the nation's treasury.

Oshiomhole, who disclosed this on Sunday in Benin, portrayed as thoughtless the taking by the then Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) drove Federal Government.

The former governor noted that it was the privilege of Nigerians to know the level of rot that happened in former President Goodluck Jonathan's government.

"I surmise that if other Nigerians don't comprehend the power of straightforwardness, the privilege to know, the media should uphold that privilege and shield it.

"What was stolen was not from private tote; the house that was destroyed was not a private living arrangement.

"We are discussing resources, which on the off chance that it is conveyed on premise of equity, isolate by 180 million people you will be a lot wealthier.

"I think my only complaint is that the Federal Government should be more heartless in light of the fact that there are lot of people who should be in court who are not there.

"When I was still in the office and I said the sort of money they stole was immense in dollars they paid employed journalists to ask how I knew.

"I have interfaced with power vertically and horizontally. I know that we cannot be bemoaning today without understanding that the treasury was burgled yesterday.

"I think the promise of democracy is that good or terrible, the people have the privilege to know and that is the beginning stage and especially important.

"I think the people have the privilege to know and if any of them believe that what has being said isn't valid, they can go to court.

"Every one of them who are involved and those who they are looking for, they should place everything in broad daylight domain and that is the promise of democracy and it is about you.

"Just by goodness of being in a triumphant gathering they helped themselves so much.

"One of the acting administrators of PDP, Ahmed Makarfi, I used to regard him so much, I heard him saying that the reason they didn't prosecute Diezani was that the money missing and everything that was done, Goodluck approved.

"On the off chance that President approved the money, should it be stolen and not go into the federation account or utilized for the planned purpose.

"Jonathan may have in-susceptibility against prosecution yet he doesn't have power to appropriate what the national assembly have not done.

"At the present time, they are now saying the national assembly should not approve the $1 billion the Federal Government is going to spend on security.

''This is a gathering that spent well above that without going to the national assembly by any means."
